Into the hands of every individual is given a marvelous power for good or evil- the silent, unconscious, unseen influence of his life. This is simply the constant radiation of what man really is, not what he pretends to be. ~ William George Jordan

New Blog

Okay.. so I know I just made this blog, but with getting married comes new things... such as new email address's and new blogs :) haha! I have been working on getting it all up and everything, but with my limited time right now, it's coming along slowly. :) I'll be sure to let you know where you follow us as we start our married life together!!! :)

As for now... A little update:
In June the Hill's put on a Bridal shower and it was so much fun! We had a fun dinner and games and of course presents! It was so nice of them all to come and to prepare so much! It was really so fun and I was so grateful!

On the fourth, we went for a bike ride with my dad and just kind of relaxed a bit and then we headed down to Provo to check out the Festivities down there. It ended up just being FULL of people and it was really quite hot so I got a cool picture of the temple that is almost finished and then we headed back and waited until my family came over and we had a fun 4th of july dinner with them! We had a Bridal shower for me with my mom's side of the family and it was so much fun! We had some games and then present opening happened!! I am so grateful for all the gifts we have received it will be so nice to have such a great start!!! THANK YOU ALL!!!!

We are getting so excited to get married in just a few short days!! We've got a little bit left to do, but today is my last day at work and then I'll have lots of time to get everything done!! I can't wait until all my family comes in, it's going to be so fun to spend some time together!!! :) :)

Memorial day among other things

The month of May just flew by for me- I seriously can't believe it's actually June. I think by the time I accept that it's June, it will be July! haha! Aaron's sister Brynn left on her mission earlier this month and she is doing wonderful!! Then we actually took engagements the Saturday before Memorial Day and I was actually really really nervous... it has been so so rainy here and I just wasn't loving the weather report on my phone for Saturday morning. Rainy, cold and Thunderstorms. So we went to bed and woke up to a very bright sun shining down on us and it was absolutely beautiful! AND our pictures turned out great! We really love them! :)
Then on memorial day we went to my Aunt and Uncles house for our annual bike ride to Bridal Veil Falls in Provo Canyon. It was fun to have Aaron there and to enjoy the bike ride together... although I have to say, I'm not very good at staying with people on trails, I'm so used to going off by myself, but I tried to stay close :) haha! Afterwards we ate some lunch and I chatted with some of my cousins and then we headed over to Aaron's grandparents house (they live like a block away) and just kind of chatted and hit some baseballs around... we were pretty tired, but we decided to go play some volleyball with friends! haha! Aaron is so sweet to go even though he wasn't super excited about it, he came with me because I have been dying to play volleyball!
Things for the wedding are going well... I feel like we make a lot of progress in just a few days, and then we go on a break for another few days and we don't do anything... haha! So.... eventually we'll get everything planned! We are still waiting to hear back on our apartment and we've got a few things to figure out still, but it will all work out! We just feel really good about it!

Aaron J Hill + Chelsey B. Clark

Yep. I'm getting married!! I honestly can't believe that the time has come where it's my turn to experience getting married! Being the youngest, I've watched all of my siblings date and eventually get married and I remember always hoping and wishing for it to soon be my turn. AND well folks, my time has arrived! I couldn't be more excited to marry Aaron. He is truly my best friend and has been so wonderful through all the stress's of planning and preparing and is truly always by my side.

I won't be typing my whole engagement story out for you... because well... I like details and I have a lot of details to my story and I don't really feel like writing it out for you right now. So if you want to know... just text or call me sometime. Actually probably just talk to me in person because I'm much better at telling the story in person. Needless to say... It was the perfect engagement! I kinda suspected it to happen that day, but I didn't let him know that ;) He proposed in front of the historic Salt Lake Temple, in the rain! It was so romantic and I loved it because no one was around and if you know me at all, you know I don't really like having big things happen with a lot of people around that I don't know... I just don't react well. So... he did a perfect job at that!! haha!

Here are some pictures!

This was in the car after we had gotten engaged!! We unfortunately didn't get a picture in front of the temple, but it was raining and so we got one in the car instead. Even though it doesn't look like it in this picture, we were drenched!

'The engagement picture" (after I had gotten ready again... haha)

July 30th cannot come soon enough!! :)

Blogging is hard...

I haven't been super good at blogging lately... because I've been a little busy, but here are some updates! Mostly in pictures of course! :)

Mom, Kenzie, Emery and I went to go see Cinderella and it was so so cute!! I really loved it!

When Alisha and Eric and Camden came to Utah, we went to Temple Square and walked around and it was a bit windy, but it was also a lot of fun too!

This is Aaron's family, and a few weeks ago Brynn (in the middle) recieved her endowment and I was so happy she invited me to go! She is going to be serving in the South Carolina, Columbia mission!! She leaves on May 13th and I couldn't be more excited for her! She is going to be an awesome missionary!

His mom wanted to take some pictures of us, but the color turned out not so good on most of them, so I just turned them all to Black and White and they all looked so much better!

Aaron and I thought this was pretty funny! We show up at the temple and look what was parked there too! I guess they needed to get to the temple quick so they just brought the Tractor!! haha!
One of the things Aaron and I really enjoy doing together is playing board games! He usually always beats me, but I guess that's okay!

Aaron also really loves Gelato. He goes quite often to a place called Dolce Amelia and just really things its the best! And I think he's the best, so its a win win!

A little while ago my investigator from my last area Salzburg told me that she felt she needed to be baptized! I've looked forward to this day for a long long time!! She is so prepared and is so strong! She is going to do big things for this Salzburg ward! I'm so proud of her and I am so grateful I met her on my mission!

Kenzie and her kids came with mom and I shopping on "ladies night out" during priesthood session and it was awesome! We had so much fun all together! The kids were crazy, but that's okay! Also, Talon loves "his letter" so I just had to get him with his letter T!

On easter we decided to have some fun and just take some random pictures! Love these kids! They brighten my day so much!
We also like to play mini golf! We've gotten pretty good at it actually and I even got a hole in one on a pretty difficult hole! Aaron was pretty jealous, even with his two other holes in one, but it's just fun to get out and play some golf!

February

So I feel like February flew by! So I guess it's time for me to do some updates! There have been some big things happening in my life as of lately. I'm still working at The Alpine Credit Union and I really enjoy what I do. I know I'm just a teller, but I really love the fact that days are slow and then days are busy. It helps me get my homework done and I really love my co-workers. We all get along really well and we try to have fun at work too! It helps the slow days go by faster!

So I guess I should introduce you to Aaron! haha! I realize, I'm not big on Social media and putting my whole life out there, but this month involves a pretty great guy! I spend most of my free time with him, (or homework)! He is in my singles ward, but we also both graduated from American Fork High and the same year! We didn't really know each other in High school, but we re-met in the good ole' singles ward and things have been going well! These pictures are not the best pictures you'll ever see, but unfortunately we are pretty terrible at taking pictures... so this is what you get! haha!

A couple of days before Valentines day I had a huge surprise come into my work! He had a huge bouquet delivered to my work! I was definitely surprised!

I told Aaron about a week before Valentines day that someone at my work had given me two tickets to the BYU basketball game on Valentines day... we had already been to a couple of games, so I told him that if he wanted to do something else, that was fine, they were free anyways! He tried to act like all cool and said it was fine, we could do whatever, but I could tell he was really excited about the tickets so I told him we should take them and go! We had a really good time!

My work had their 60th Annual meeting on the 17th of February and they wanted us to get all dressed up and come and have a nice dinner and win prizes! As you can see, Rachel ended up winning a Camera and I.... won nothing :) Seems to be the Clark curse, we never seem to win much of anything! haha! That's okay, I was really only excited about their big prize of a vacation to San Diego!

Natalie (my trainee on my mission) and I were invited by the Savage family to come over and talk about our missions together! It was a lot of fun to see Michal and her little baby and her family again! I haven't seen them in years so it was good to be around them again! They have such an amazing family and such a strong spirit in their home. You just walk in and are hit with such a strong spirit. I hope to have a home just like them when I have my own home. Natalie was in Bro Savage's stake back before her mission, and when we made that connection on the mission we were so excited! We both really love this family and loved going back and thinking and talking about our missions!

I just really love this Temple. I love that I live so close to such a beautiful temple! I truly feel blessed to live in a place where we have temples all around! I know I don't take advantage of that as often as I should, but I just love the spirit I can feel, even when I'm just sitting in the temple parking lot. I think I figured that out at a young age and I always drive to temple parking lot even for just 15 mins to think and pray and have some quiet time. It's one of my favorite places to go.

School is going really well as well. I feel overwhelmed every Monday when I look at my week work load, but it gets done each week and I know Heavenly Father helps me get this accomplished. I try to always put Him first each day and things just seem to work out. I'm really grateful for the gospel and for the realness of the promises He gives to us. He has promised us so many wonderful blessings and if we just do what He asks, they will come to pass. I am so grateful for Him and for His patience with me as I learn!

My Birthday & School!

These are the pictures from the sunrise my birthday morning! God always gives me the best sunrises and sunsets on my birthday! He must know what makes me happy! :)

These gals were the ones who got me good on my birthday!

My free Jamba Juice on my birthday!

This is what I look like most days... computer, iPad, and history book near..

I just had my 23rd birthday this past week! I spent the day with mom and dad and then I had some friends calling to me to have me come over to my friends apartment all day. I was pretty tired that day, so I wasn't really wanting to go, but I decided last minute to go and it's a good thing because they threw me a surprise party! I walked in and they all yelled Happy Birthday and I guess the look on my face was priceless! They sure got me! haha! It was a lot of fun, they had made me a cake and let me blow out the candles and we played some games and just chatted! They were so nice to do that for me! :)

School has been keeping me super busy these days! I spend most of my Tuesdays and Thursdays there ^^ but it's been really good to have to relearn a bunch of stuff! It's crazy how out of routine I am with school! I haven't had to worry about homework and tests since I was like 18 years old! haha! I find that most of my free time is spent on homework and trying to go out on dates! It's a crazy busy life, but I hear it doesn't get less busy... so I guess I should get used to it!
