Well today, to start off, we had the privilege to have Elder Larry W. Gibbons from the Quorum of the 70 attend our sacrament meeting! I had no idea, and to be honest, he was sitting behind the person who was conducting, so I didn't even notice anyone was there, (I guess this is where I tell you, I was late and came in while he was giving the announcement :) haha!) I just saw my dad off to the side, so when they said "we would like to welcome Larry Gibbons, who is presiding over this meeting" I was like: "oh no! They said his last name wrong" cuz ya know.. my dad's name is Larry! :) hahaha! But then I felt dumb for thinking that when he kinda stepped away and I saw this guy sitting there! hhaha! Woops! :) Anyways, it was very cool to hear his testimony and it was another testimony builder for me; that there is truly a Prophet on this earth who leads and guides us! And that all of the 12 apostles and the quorum of the 70's are great men and great examples for us to follow!
So like I said, today was the day everyone found out, that they are making a Singles Stake. It will be from Saratoga Springs- to P.G-ish area! So, super fun right?? I'm super excited to meet new people and to be in a new ward, I guess it's really a bitter sweet moment for me! haha! I can't decide if I'm super excited, or if I'm scared, or if I'll miss how close knit our ward is, but I guess overall, I am excited..?? :) haha! So anyways, it was our last Fast and Testimony meeting, a lot of the people in my ward got up, and it was so great to hear there testimony's! It was really great, because they all said things that I needed to hear so I can change and become who I need to be, so I can be a better disciple of the Christ, to serve His children, to change and not be scared of change, to go through trials with the attitude that they will help me become a better person, and yeah, it was just a really good Sacrament Meeting! :) I feel so blessed that I was able to be a part of this ward, to feel of the close-ness, and the friendship, and the love that we all have for each other! I'm grateful that I get this new trial to go through, to put myself out there to new people, and to get to know them, and love them, as much as I love my ward right now :) ps. my ward is coming with me to this new ward... but it's just different cuz now there will be a lot more people, and people that I don't really know. but it will be good! :) hahaha!
Wish me luck! :)
love you all!
