Holy Cow! I've thought of January 6th and what it would feel like for so long. Knowing that I'm a month away from entering the MTC, I never expected it to feel like "this" I guess. haha! I didn't know where I would be, or how I would be feeling and let me tell you, it's been a roller coaster of emotions for sure. Not just today, but for the past couple of weeks! I'm honestly so blessed and I've had so many answers to so many prayers, and I just know that serving a mission is the right decision for me at this time! It's going to be tough, but so so worth it! I cannot wait! Ah!
I can't wait to learn German and teach people about this Gospel of Jesus Christ that brings me so much joy and direction in life! I can't wait to share my love for the Book of Mormon and Christ and the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. But I must admit, for awhile there I was so wrapped up in the fact that I was going to be in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, because lets be honest, who doesn't want to go to the most beautiful countries and see really awesome stuff? But then I was talking to a friend who is going to Tahiti for his mission, and how cool that will be and then he said: "yeah, it's way awesome, and I'm so excited but really, does it matter? We have one message and we are doing the Lord's work. So I wouldn't really care where I was going." haha! I'm sure that is just common sense to all of you, and it is to me, but sometimes I need a slap in the face to remind me that this isn't for me. It's for the Lord and for his children. I am going somewhere awesome, but, I'm going to teach the Lord's Children, the Lord's Gospel and that makes me very excited!!
Anyways, I do need to update a little though, we had Christmas and New years and just to warn you, I was really bad at taking pictures! So sorry, there won't really be any! But here's a Few:
This was the Sunset on the way over to Jason's Christmas Eve! At first I was disappointed that there were water splats on the window, but I think it just adds to the picture :) |
Kenz & Talon and I on Christmas Eve |
Me and my favorite little guy :) |
Then on Friday my BFF Cami, who I've known since I was five had a Bachlorette Party, we ended up at Guru's and then headed back to her apt afterwards and opened gifts and just had a blast! I'm so excited for her to get married on Saturday (Jan 12,13) I was invited to attend her session where she received her endowment yesterday at the Draper Temple! It was very awesome! I love going to different temples! :)
