Into the hands of every individual is given a marvelous power for good or evil- the silent, unconscious, unseen influence of his life. This is simply the constant radiation of what man really is, not what he pretends to be. ~ William George Jordan

Life as of now...

Well, it looks like i'm home and will be hitting my 2 month anniversary tomorrow.  Seems crazy to me that those sweet 18 months are gone and over with.  It's something that I don't think I'll ever be able to forget.  I miss my mission like nothing else, I miss the people, the food, the culture, I miss speaking my random german words.  People ask me still if I miss it and I always say without hesitation yes. But, that doesn't mean that I'm not happy to be home too! I am learning a lot of life skills and i'm trying to put what I learned on my mission; into my life now.  I am so grateful to be home with my family and to be able to be apart of the every day routine.  My perspective of life and the gospel is forever changed and I am so grateful that I was blessed to serve a mission.

Now that I am home and all wrapped up in normal life, I've been trying to figure out for awhile now if I want to keep this blog or not.  I've decided to keep it. :) I want to change it up a bit.  I think most people don't care about my "single life" too much, so along with my random life updates, I will be trying to Share Goodness on my blog!! I think too many times in the week i want to send all of my family an email sharing what I learned from my studies that day! It's all too natural for me now! I am so used to sharing what I learn and my testimony with people.  I love sharing my testimony, so this is a way for me to still share my testimony with my family and friends without filling up their email inbox's :) I'm still trying to figure out how this is all going to work, but if you'll bare with me, I'll get it down eventually!

I love this time of the year when the leaves are changing, and their are days where you need to wear pants and a cute jacket and other days where you can still wear your warm summer clothes.  I think my favorite part of fall is General Conference. I'm getting very excited for general conference and I'm trying to read a conference talk from April's conference every day this week before Saturday. I decided that I am making a new goal.  One that I am actually going to do. :) I was thinking about a quote that I read once from President Monson saying something of the sort that He loved conference because he always found something in someone's talk that he needed to put into his life to better it.  I thought about that a lot before my mission and always made a goal to really take something from it.  But instead of just taking things from it and taking lots of notes, (which i still will probably) I want to really CHANGE something in my life.  I want to be changed from each and every conference.  It may not be what someone actually says, but i want to prepare myself enough and be prepared to learn from the SPIRIT.  I loved women's conference last week and I'm still trying to decide what I want and NEED to take from that in order to better my life.  I got a lot of messages from the broadcast, and I'm ready and excited to take even more from General conference this weekend!!

Port Isabel Lighthouse

Me and my new boyfriend

Our little fam picture on the beach

We went to Schlitterbahn which translated into english means dog (Huskies) train. That doesn't really make a lot of sense, but oh well! It was fun anyways! I had a lot of fun going on all the slides with Kaci. We tried all of them and we decided on our favorites!

There were beautiful sunsets while we were in South padre. Whenever it would rain really hard, our driveways would fill up with tons of water. So don't be fooled with all this water, its just from the rain, not the beach!

Little linc. So cute

Loved the beach! It was so pretty!!!

I was Tegan's new favorite Aunt these past 10 days! It was so fun seeing his little personality and to just play and have fun with this fun 4 year old! My favorite line from Tegan was: "Chelsey I missed you!" & it had only been a few hours!

We decided to take some pictures on the beach, so the next few are from that!

I love dad's hair in this picture, so i had to add it. :)

Our cool beach house

We also went to see the sea turtle's! They were so cute!

So... I loved south padre island.. but we also hit up Fredericksburg Texas once we got back and it's this little german town!! I was able to buy a Spaetzle maker and eat some german food! :) It was SO MUCH FUN!! I loved my couple of hours in Deutschland!

And... back to south padre island. Pictures are all over the place! Sorry!

This was one of my favorite quotes from the womens conference :)

Love it!! You're awesome! That is my favorite thing from Tegan too! It always makes me feel so loved and needed when he says that to me!
